Financial Manager

We are looking for a talented individual to help enhance our finance function. The new team member will be the driving force in beefing up our existing processes and introducing better financial insights and systems. You’ll be based in our Cyprus office and have an opportunity to visit our Helsinki office frequently.

You will work closely with our external payroll company, external accountants, auditors, and other stakeholders, both inside and outside the company. You thrive in cross-disciplinary environments but are comfortable doing hands-on work and being responsible for your deliverables yourself.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines
  • Working with external accounting to provide timely and accurate financial statements monthly
  • Supporting leadership with managerial accounting & insights, tracking KPIs
  • Tracking project profitability
  • Preparing a quarterly finance snapshot for management and the board
  • Maintaining an accurate cashflow forecast
  • Creating rolling budgeting and scenarios
  • Ensuring pension and other social security commitments are up to date
  • Approving and processing payments from our accounting software
  • Preparing and issuing clients with invoices and tracking accounts receivable
  • Overseeing monthly payroll and benefits

Requirements

  • University degree in finance or accounting
  • 3 years experience in accounting, finance, or similar roles
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting and managerial accounting
  • Knowledge of Finnish Accounting Standards
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under deadlines
  • Strong problems solving skills and adaptability to new situations
  • Genuinely interested in financial insights
  • Fluent Finnish and English skills (C1 min)

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Passion about games, we will be playing a lot
  • Experience working with international teams
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS
  • Experience with Netvisor software
  • Greek or French language skills
