Junior QA Specialist

We are looking for a Junior QA Specialist to join the core game development team in Helsinki. You will be working on an unannounced shooter game and helping improve its quality by identifying and communicating risks and collaborating on mitigation strategies against them.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and executing tests
  • Helping create and maintain test documentation
  • Reporting, tracking, and managing bugs in JIRA
  • Assisting in re-creating problems reported from the field
  • Collaborating across multiple disciplines within the team

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of software QA methodologies and processes
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking software (JIRA preferred)
  • Good communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify issues
  • Good attention to detail
  • Hungry to learn new things

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Knowledge of game/software development life cycle
  • Familiarity with the engineering method/approach
  • Experience with game engines (Unreal Engine, Unity)
