Gameplay Programmer (Mid/Sr)

We are looking for a Gameplay Programmer to join our core game development team in Helsinki, Finland.

As a Gameplay Programmer, you will be working in cross-discipline teams creating various game systems and features from scratch. You will have a lot of say in how things work, and how they are developed and maintained.

Responsibilities

  • Creating compelling game systems, ranging from player movement to gunplay to in-game purchases
  • Polishing the systems so our players find them easy and fun to use
  • Providing necessary tools to designers to efficiently use the systems
  • Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable code

Requirements

  • Proficient in C++

Talent Acquisition Manager

As our team’s growth accelerates, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition Manager to join our team in Helsinki or Cyprus.

In this role you will be managing full-cycle recruiting for multiple, complex searches, creating innovative sourcing strategies and engagement to bring the best talent for each role.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and implement hiring strategy plans, filling job openings through high-quality, high-efficiency approaches (including but not limited to selected ATS, LinkedIn Jobs, job boards, and job fairs)
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers throughout the recruiting process to ensure we meet their hiring needs and goals
  • Establish and maintain meaningful relationships with management and key cross-functional stakeholders and peers internally 
  • Own and together with the Talent Growth Manager create/adapt/run interviewing skills training for the hiring managers
  • Own and together with the Operations team create/adapt/run culture fit interviews
  • Consult hiring managers on the team’s needs, job descriptions, and hiring processes
  • Monitor external recruiting vendors and partners

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on recruiting in-house experience, preferably at an entertainment or gaming company
  • Previous experience recruiting for creative and/or technical roles within areas of PC/console game development
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, ability to develop positive working relationships across all levels and functions
  • Strong candidate assessment skills and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to effectively handle multiple priorities, organize workload and meet deadlines
  • Experience with candidate care and balancing process with candidate experience
  • Knowledge of recruiting tools, applicant tracking systems, and data management/reporting techniques
  • Excellent spoken and written English (minimum C1)

Lead 3C (characters/camera/controls) designer

We are looking for a Lead 3C Designer to join the core game development team where this person will be leading the creation of compelling character controls, features, and design on both PC and Console games.

Responsibilities

  • Taking ownership of designing, prototyping, and implementing character control features
  • Working closely with programmers and animators on delivering the best-in-class character controls for multiplatform first-person shooter games
  • Creating specifications and mockups to demonstrate your ideas to the team
  • Cooperating with other designers on other second-to-second and combat features
  • Collaborating together with the disciplines leads to improve design workflows and practices

Lead Animator

We are looking for a highly talented and experienced Lead Animator to join the game development team where you will be leading the creation of the in-game animations with the highest quality standards using keyframe as well as mocap techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the Animation team
  • Together with the Art Lead defining specs for the new roles in the team
  • Managerial responsibilities, covering the full employment cycle of the direct reports
  • Mentoring junior members of the team
  • Setting standards for the animation work, building animation systems
  • Taking part in the production meetings representing the team and reporting on the plans, achievements, and difficulties
  • Working in close collaboration throughout different departments to assure propriety implementation of animations within the game engine
  • Creating keyframe animation as well as working with motion capture data for in-game assets while following the given style guide
  • Ensuring timely completion of animation commitments at the desired quality bar
  • Partnering with designers, programmers, and other departments involved

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in game development animation (PC and/or console), at least 2 of those in a managerial role
  • Excellent understanding of Unreal Engine animation systems and Blueprints
  • Ability to create fluid, smooth, realistic animations
  • Good understanding and experience in gameplay animation
  • Good knowledge of human and animal anatomy and movement, body language and the mechanics of expression of emotion
  • Great communication and organizational skills in working with others throughout the entire game development process
  • Expertise with Maya and Houdini
  • Expertise in creating, optimizing, and owning gameplay animation graphs
  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation as needed

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Interest in animating both organic and mechanical systems
  • Skills in writing Maya python scripts

Lead Character Artist

We are looking for a Lead Character Artist to join the core game development team.
This person will have a key role in establishing the look, design, and creation of the characters that populate the game worlds. The right candidate has the passion for crafting iconic characters and skills to produce stunning, high quality and efficient AAA game content.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the character art team in the development of high-quality AAA characters
  • Modeling, texturing, and implementation of real-time character models 
  • Contributing to the references, concepts, and art direction, while also having the initiative to take the work further independently 
  • Working closely with the team and external partners to ensure that quality is consistent and cohesive

Requirements

  • Shipped a PC/Console title as a Lead Character Artist
  • 5+ years of experience in AAA game development (PC and/or console)
  • You have the passion to create designs fit for a first-person shooter game
  • Demonstrated ability in designing and crafting believable characters
  • You have proficient knowledge of Unreal Engine, Maya / Modo / MudBox / ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, Substance Painter, or equivalent package

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Understanding of industrial and product design
  • Interest and understanding of believable military aesthetics and designs
  • You have an excellent understanding of form, shape, structure, and anatomy
  • Strong traditional art skills such as painting, drawing, or sculpting

Level Designer

We are looking for a Level Designer to join the core game development team in Helsinki or Cyprus where you will be focusing on crafting dynamic, innovative and exciting levels and unique game modes and experiences for an unannounced shooter game.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design and script scenarios in a first-person multiplayer shooter
  • Realize the high-level vision of your levels through all stages of development from initial block out through to the final shipped product
  • Work together with the team on developing new exciting IP; from engineers to artists or data analysts
  • Balance maps, PvP, and PvE modes when the game is published

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in a Level or Mission Design position, with at least 1 shipped title on PC and/or console
  • 3+ years of experience with 3D world and level building tools like Unreal Engine, Unity, or CryEngine
  • Knowledge of traditional or visual scripting language for building level flows and scenarios
  • Experience working in cross-discipline teams with programmers, artists, and animators

The ideal candidate will also have

  • Worked on multiplayer games
  • Worked with Unreal Engine
  • Experience with a proprietary engine(s)
  • Background in engineering
  • Classical scripting or programming experience

UI Programmer

We are looking for a UI Programmer to join our core game development team in Helsinki, Finland to work on a non-announced shooter game project.

As a UI Programmer, you will be working closely with our UX, UI, and game designers to create fluid and easy-to-use user interfaces that convey the right information at the right time in a clear and understandable way.

Responsibilities

  • Implement in-game UI in Unreal Engine 4 according to UI/UX designs
  • Ensure user interfaces work well with different resolutions, aspect ratios and physical screen sizes
  • Ensure user interfaces work well with different input methods
  • Debug and troubleshoot problems in unfamiliar code through careful analysis
  • Communicate with external partners to resolve issues and develop efficient solutions

Requirements

  • Experience in implementing scalable in-game UI
  • Self-motivated and proactive with a dedication to improving your craft
  • Proficient in C++ and/or C
  • Comfortable in Lua or similar scripting languages
  • Strong grasp of object-oriented design principles

  • Experience with additional languages such as Python or C#
